I wonder if that seal is a continuing problem and how many hours/miles on the build. Devils advocate at work here.

I'm wondering if the adapter plate is not lined up within .005" and that's causing the TC to wear the seal out?

I would think about installing a manual anyway.

I wonder if they went with a taller diff ratio to compensate for the lower gearing in the trans?

Proudly installing things where they're not supposed to go since 1996!

Most probably there is a groove in the tc not allowing the seal to do its magic
