Default Who from Alberta Owns this Cylinder Head?

Well, this is a bit embarrassing, but someone from Alberta sent a cylinder head to Frank's VW TDI's. It has to have been a long time ago. It was buried on a shelf that got moved today. After some 6,500 cylinder heads, this one didn't get processed. I somehow lost this head in the shuffle.

The label was so dirty I can only make out partial information. If you have any idea, help me out to get this turned around...

Information as I have it: Expedited Parcel code: CX 223 654 939 CA I believe it's too old to track.

Best guess at the nearly obliterated Name:

Bradley Hal*sn (asterik could be a 'y')

Only address information is: RR2

Partial Phone number: 403-588- next maybe 24, last two numbers, gone...

I think the phone number is from Red Deer, but the city info is unreadable.

Last three digits of postal code appear to be CJ0.

As my apology to the owner, I make an equitable offer to compensate, if we can find him. Of course, the question remains, why did he not contact me? Phone, email and PM are available. I do want to get this behind me.

I don't hang out on the threads a great deal, but if you would PM or email, I will answer.

Frank

Postal code last 3 digits are numeric for 1st & 3rd and a letter for 2nd. Does it look like it could be 0J0 or 6J0?

The first 3 digits would be something starting with T & has another digit & another letter.

I'm an hour north of Red Deer and did a bit of creative Google snooping for ya Frank but the various breadcrumbs you have on hand didn't go very far.

403 *is* the Red Deer phone prefix though.

Frank,
Checked Red Deer white pages https://www.whitepagescanada.ca/ab/red-deer/a-z/H/ for names beginning with "Hal". Closest I could find with first name Bradley was Brad Hales https://www.whitepagescanada.ca/name/ab/red-deer/hales/ https://www.whitepagescanada.ca/ab/r...-hales_159162/
Then searched for local VW dealer who might know Brad, http://vw.garymoe.com
Next searched likely TDI repair shops in Red Deer and came up with Das Auto Haus http://www.dasautohaus.ca
... and this TDI Club thread... http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=195091 The OP is listed as a Vendor in BC, looking for a trusted repair shop for a customer with a a MK3 Jetta TDI who had moved to Red Deer. Das Auto Haus is recommended in the thread. TDI Club member "Turbomeyers" chimes in on post #6 and is from Das Auto Haus...
Hopefully this info helps with finding your Brad... Let is know once successful.
Cheers,
Lance

403-588 shows as Red Deer wireless, postal code are possibilities as follows.
T0A-0J0=Bellis Alberta, T0B-0J0=Bawlf Alberta, T0C-0J0=Bently Alberta,T0E-0J0=Cherhill Alberta, T0G-0J0=Calahoo Alberta, T0H-0J0=Bluesky Alberta, T0k-0J0=Burdett Alberta,
T0L-0J0=Blackie Alberta, T0M-0J0=Blackfalds Alberta,
These are all the possible rural locations for 0J0.
Our postal codes work letter,number,letter-number,letter,number
The phone number area code 403 and then prefix 588 indicates Red Deer mobile phone
not to be confused with a fairly new area code in Alberta which is in fact 588.
If this was helpful or not I had fun with it. Good luck Frank
Cheers

Not getting very far myself. Thanks to GoogleVoice, at least Canada is a free call...

It looks like I 'inherited' a cylinder head. I hope not. I feel badly about this, as it cost a bit to get it from there to here.

I'll keep this open and maybe something will come of it.

Frank,

Knowing which engine code and what model(s)/generation the head may have come from might help...

I'm sure you can call/visit the post service and they can look up the tracking number. I've had to do this before (old tracking number gets archived, but it can be found by a supervisor)
