I didn't see any other threads but surely I'm not the first to install these two items.

Both have the art grey stitching to match the TDI seats perfectly. The stock steering wheel was decent but after my mk5 GTI wheel I just missed the thicker grips/flat bottom. I wasn't too thrilled about the stock knobs bulbous feel either. Anyhow, these items definitely solved my problems and the car just feels that much nicer driving every day. Still waiting on my GTI pedals from TM tuning a month later...

Apologies for the lukewarm iphone pics.

Nice!

TMTuning is slow, but they have great pricing.

Where'd you buy your steering wheel?

I bought both the wheel and knob browsing German eBay, haha.

I actually bought two steering wheels and one is for sale in the classifieds right now. ;)

wow, alright, I guess I'm all set without that. Does look nice though.

Beat me to it ;) Have these items sitting in a box waiting for a new car to install them on ;) Looks awesome! You also might want to get the GTD E-brake shift boot that has matching grey stitching.

I'd considered the e-brake as well but wasn't sure how involved the install was, plus it's a relatively minor touch. I feel the wheel/knob constantly where the e-brake would simply be cosmetic.

It's hard to tell from the pictures. Is the new steering wheel the same diameter as the old one? I looks a bit smaller.

I like the swap man, nice job!

It only looks smaller due to the increased thickness. It is indeed the same diameter aside from the flat bottom portion.

None at this time, Looking for a nice one though.
Very nice wheel. I just put a GTI wheel on my MK5 Golf. Being Leather covered and thicker is so much nicer than the plastic OEM wheel.
