The running light on the drivers side, rear, of my jetta is not working, and I keep getting pulled over, anyone know why it might not be getting power? I have taken a volt meter to the socket for the running light and it doesn't get power when the head lights are on. no blown fuses

Start looking at the wiring.

Is this the running light on the trunk or body? If it's on the trunk, I would look at the wiring that runs along the hinge and has the most movement or tightest radius that moves.

Ok, that helps a lot. So the other side of the car works? Check the wire harness where it enters the socket assembly (I don't know off hand what color the parking light wire is, but brown is the ground).

You're sure the fuse is good? Do the running lights on the front of the car work properly? Each side has its own fuse.
