I have some codes for qa and mod piston. when I tried to check in VCDS, my group 019 says error not available.
I have a 96 1Z. GQ ECU. I swapped in my old BK and same thing.
BTW, I checked the initial sweep of the arm in the pump. It only moves about a quarter inch. nothing is stuck. Even tried another pump.
It seems my wiring is all good. Just hard to diagnose without 019 working.

Here is a video of a bad one.

It should do a complete sweep when powered on and output the min and max to Group 19 in Measuring Blocks. If if isn't doing this sweep, it could theoretically not report in and the block not be filled. That said though, I believe it is more likely that you have a chaffed/broken wire. If not, then consider trying to R&R the QA or replace it and/or the pump.
