Airbag fault, how long is this covered under warranty?

I have an airbag fault, and I have read about the fixes on Vortex but I don't know how long the warranty is on this type of stuff. I have 54k on my car right now, and it is a 2006... is this covered or should I just DIY?

Talk to the dealer since airbag lights seem to have been fairly common with '06 Jettas. I had my '06 fixed at 40,000mi and it was covered.

Just called the dealer and they said only up to 50,000 miles so I will doing the DIY fix! For those who have not seen this fix, here is the link:
