This is from the Service personnel at Boucher VW:
To turn the memory function on you do the following:
1) Move the seat all the way forward.
2) Tilt it all the way forward
3) Move the backrest all the way forward.
Basically you move all functions forward as far as possible.

Did it. It works!

I don't think that they (Boucher incl. knew anything about this). I talked to them and they were clueless at that time. Oh well, mine work now. Let me know how you make out.

That is the fix for it!
The wife got home with the car, I moved everything forward and heard a signal. I then positioned the seat for me, hit Set then 2 and heard a "ding" :)
Now everyone knows the fix. Yea!

It worked for me too!!!! THANKS

As I was reading it I half expected #4 to read - stand on your left foot, make sure the car is pointing North....it just seemed far fetched.

IT WORKED!

Now I noticed the prep guys didn't remove the plastic wrap from the seats very well.... moving the seat forward like that allowed me to see that....

THANKS AGAIN !
