I also did a balance shaft delete on my CBEA using CJAA parts. Everything fit perfectly and there was no need for the spring or extra fasteners to hold the windinge tray, it fit perfectly into small recesses in the oil pan so it is well secured.

However when driving I immediately noticed the growling sound mentioned previously. My car hits a resonate frequency from 2000-2500. During this speed I can hear the growl as well as feel the vibration in the steering wheel when holding it lightly. This was no too objectionable until I hit the interstate and drove consistantly in that rpm range. It drove me crazy! I could not stand it. My car was stock, quiet, and smooth before. The BSM delete ruined it for me.

As a result I purchased the update kit from KMB, upgraded my BSM, and reinstalled it. I am much happier now.

Maybe there are differences between the mk5 and mk6 that makes this resonance an issue.
