Lots of preventive maintenance and other work done over the years, I have receipts for most of it. I am not a technician/mechanic or otherwise. I maintain the car as well as I can through a mechanic.

I am selling it due to where I live. I have a 2 minute commute which is not good for this car, so I bought a gasser.

I gotta ask,

what the heck is that? On a diesel?

Cheers,

It's the thing that makes turning the key actually start the car.

I went to go turn the car on (after having driven it earlier in the day), I put the key in the ignition, turned it and the stereo came on and door open chime rang, but turning the key all the way did nothing, the car would not start. Nothing, No attempted start, no click of the starter or anything. It was the ignition assembly (I don't know all the names of the parts, but something had to purchased from Germany and shipped over.

Thw auto transmissions on these cars are lucky to last 125,000. If yours hasen't been replaced with new it is running on empty.
