The time has come to sell my TDI. I bought a low mileage matrix so I no longer need it. The car has low mileage for the year and has a lot of life in it. I have done a lot of work to the car. I have also had a lot done my Martin Bergel, local TDI guru. It could still use some minor repairs but runs pretty well as it is. I bought the car for $6500 two years ago and put $3000 in for repairs. This is a lot of car for the price but it is listed for cheap due to the quirks listed below.
Done:
Timing belt at 85K
Turbo CHRA and VNT at 90k
Balance shaft delete 96k
Motor Mounts 96k
New boost control solenoid and sensor 96k
EGR cleaning and disassembly 90k
MAF 96k
New exhaust/egr gaskets and hardware 96k
Needs:
Shocks are feeling tired
Intermittent code for throttle body
Occasional limp mode when cold
Eventual camshaft (Marty said one lobe is a bit worn but it doesn't need to be replaced yet)
Sunroof works but is a little crunchy, the cover seems to catch a bit.
Right rear door lock actuator doesn't work
Window wiper actuator motor needs to be replaced. It works but sometimes it stops in weird locations.
