Key replacement

I bought a used 99 NB. It came with a remote and Key (switchblade type). The remote works, but the rear hatch does not open with it. I tried reprograming per owners manual.
Is the dealer the only place to get an extra key? Looks like it could be expensive.

no problem. Dont' feel bad, I was reading the other day about a DEALER who didn't know you had to hold the button down for 3 seconds... he was just telling the customers it was broken!
