Hi I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. My airbag light is on in my horn does not work. I tried switching airbags into leading the code using VagCom but that doesn’t work. Still gives the same codes. Can the issue be a steering wheel angle sensor? Or something else? Does anybody know where this horn fuse location is?

The codes for the air bag are
01587 igniter 2 for airbag driver side (n250)
00588 airbag ignitor, driver side (n95)

And horn code is

00906 horn h1
009 open or short to ground

Please help thank you

Ok I looked it up, can that kill the ground to the steering wheel horn so it won’t work ?

Not sure what you mean, but the clock spring allows you to turn the steering wheel and still have an electrical connection for the airbag and horn without twisting the wires. The horn and air bag needs both a positive connection and most likely a negative connection through the clock spring to work.

Diagnose/replace your clock spring and report back with your findings.

Always disconnect your battery (Positive and Negative) before working on the airbag system.
If the airbag went off when you were removing it it would probably kill you. About 3 years ago one of our seat vendors at an aircraft manufacturing company was killed by a seatbelt airbag.
