Kind of like the Honda CRV diesel rumors. A small diesel SUV ought to sell well here in the US. I would sell the current CRV and buy one if it got close to 40 mpg. Probably if it got close to 35 mpg.

Jeep Liberty CRD's are close to 35 highway in actuall use:D My all city, all short trips and with only 1400 miles is just over 20 MPG. Not a lot but twice what I got on my Jeep Cherokee;)

No they are not.30 mpg at a constant 55 mph driving in "the earth is flat Nebraska" maybe.
