First DIY oil change...

So I finally completed my first DIY oil change... everything went well. I was rather over-due for the change because I'd been trying to find the time to do it myself, so the oil was very black - like black paint! Even after the change, the oil on my dipstick looks quite black...

Should I do another change (oil only) right away? Or wait a few weeks and do oil+filter? Or wait until the next scheduled change?

You can change the oil in these cars and run the engine to do a leak check for a couple of minutes after the oil change and I swear it will look it it was not just changed. Get used to it!

I am wondering if that will change once we all start burning ULSD. If you were burning biodiesel would the oil still be the same?

running ulsd, and biodiesel shows no difference in oil color. ULSD is poppycock i tell yah! (JK, i just don't notice much difference when I run it, other than knowing I'm running ULSD)
