break down,
New timing belt (timing dead on)
Lift pump is good
Intake manifold removed and cleaned
EGR cleaned and functioning
No engine codes
Delayed start even when warm.(white smoke on start)

The issue is a loss of power and fairly bad white hazing.
I know I have an exhaust leak at the manifold.
Average of about 750 kms to full tank.

I'm not sure what else to look for besides camshaft wearing.

Anyone else have these issues?

Turbo is functioning fine and is producing good boost.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the smell of the smoke, to confirm if it's oil or fuel related.

If it's fuel related : check for fault codes and verify injectors reading if no fault code found else it's a compression issue.

If it's oil related : check turbo shaft play and verify if there's oil in intake

Because you have poor mpg I would say it's injector related

Definitely not burning oil.
No fault codes.

Can anyone tell me what the vagcom specs should be on the injectors? Initial quantities and deviation's?

Thanks for the help so far.

Verify Injectors deviation on idle and engine at operating temps, it must not exceed +/- 2,5 for each injector and must be quite stable readings.

Cyl 1
0.35 mg/str
Cyl 2
-0.70 mg/str
Cyl 3
0.16 mg/str
Cyl 4
0.19 mg/str
Now obviously these numbers bounce slightly but this is basically what I'm getting right now.
Anything look off?

OP You mention an "exhaust leak at the manifold" is this an EGR cooler leak?

About injector deviation data, spec is +/- 3.00 however anything over +/- 1.00 should be of inmediate concern and most likely already has a tangible effect on driveability.

Your numbers are not there yet but they are a bit high.
How is your cam lobe contidion?

It also could be the injectors. You could try using liqui moly diesel purge to clean them off

Injectors seems ok.

Even if there's a leak in EGR cooler it would create white smoke but engine will start normally (right away)

If there's long cranking and white smoke it's most likely fuel related.

Try check pressures on tandem pump.
