40,000 Mile Service

Besides an oil change; what else gets done @ the 40,000 mile service??? My owners' manual is a little vague in this respect...

oil and filter, air filter, cabin air filter, fuel filter.

depending on year car and transmission
timing belt and since you are there the v-belt.

I changed my 00 TDI tb @ 40,000 miles and it looked pretty good. I think they have since pushed the TB change for 00 with 5 speed to 60K miles but I haven't seen that in writing. I would check it for sure.

Depending on how long you have owned the car you may be in for a brake fluid change (2 years)

Rotate the tires as well.
