Hello I'm a newbie, picked up a 03 golf tdi of Craigslist for $1,900. Has 268,000 5 speed with red and black leather interior. From what I've seen this isnt stock interior is it?

I also believe it has a downpipe with 2.5 back bc it howls pretty good when warming up. Sounds awesome. Also has ear delete. Here's some pics if I can help identify if it's aftermarket for sure.

egr delete confirmed

stock downpipe with bird**** welds into most likely straight pipe the rest of the way, hence the howl. mine has a nice whistle to it also but looks a little better than yours.

also missing the EGR/ASV combo (replaced with a race pipe). has a neuspeed P-flow intake which most people will tell you to get rid of and stop contaminating your MAF sensor and wearing away the turbo compressor wheel. I tend to agree with that.

ok that interior is kinda cool. I wouldn't... but I can't deny that it's cool. not factory, but looks to be pretty well done. i would be 10x cooler if you do the a b c pillar trim and headliner in black and replace the rearview mirror with a factory black one. I just replaced mine with an audi black rearview and it makes a world of difference.

those headlights look awful, get some nice stock ones or ****ty stock ones and replace the lenses with glass ones from VXT or Helix.

must get rims also, steelies are a no-go when you rock a porno style interior.

Thank you for your input. Ya I've owned the car week and defently agree that the welds are **** lol. Ya I'll probably look into buying a stock intake and some headlights I do like projection lens tho. I completely agree on changing the tan interior into black bc it bothers me to. The wheels are defently on my the top of my to do list to change the look of the ride. But for what I paid for it I think it's a good start☺

... None :S
That's a custom interior - the only leather colors offered were black (early cars), anthracite (late cars), gray, and tan. I'm guessing someone took a set of black leather seats and dyed them red. It looks good IMHO.

Thank you. I like the red seats. But I did notice a zipper on the back bottom on the front seats tho.
