Had a v6 Touareg for a short minute. I liked the car/chassis itself but it really needed more ass. After having several sold out from under me, lost auctions, etc, I think I finally ended up with the right one. This one popped up on Craigslist on a Thursday in Michigan and I was driving to get it that Saturday.
2006 with 118k, DPF deleted and Malong Tune. Aftermarket OZ Canyon wheels with one size over all terrain tires.
My V6

V10 I almost bought from salvage auction

V10 I actually bought.

My venture to go get the car. Pulled an empty dolly behind my golf to Michigan, then loaded the golf up behind the Touareg. Of course my golf is too low and had to remove the bumper to get it on the dolly, but i eventually got it loaded in the wet mess.

Bought some wheels for it.

Lowered it 25mm. Joys of oem Air ride. :D Pulls my little utility trailer nicely.

Bought a real trailer

First towing trip was to US129 for Wookies in the Woods R32 g2g. The Tail of the Dragon. 318 curves in 11 miles. Touareg took it like a champ pulling my brother's Jetta. Also pulled an R off of the dragon with a blown driveshaft.

I like the way it sits in "Loading Level" as well.

Nice color, too. I don't think I've ever seen a green V10 in the wild.

Thank you sir! Venetian Green Pearl is the name. In the pics he sent me I swore it was black it is so dark. I love the color.

It was a farm car so it really needs some paint correction. Interior has been cleaned out and exterior scrubbed down, but soon it will get some paint love.

Very cool. I can't wait to see it. I think my favorite part is the 4-zone Climatronic, which mine does not have.

Yes! This one ended up with that option as well. I havn't gotten to use it, but nice for it to be there when needed.

I am for sure jealous of your interior color. I am going to be on the hunt for that interior to swap into mine. Probably going to be an impossible find for rear heated ones as well.

Teak leather with rear heat is going to be a hard find, for sure.

Thanks fellas! It is definitely a torque monster. Tune is supposed to be 360/600. Definitely feels like it.

Yessir! It's funny what speaking my interest in a car forum will open up.

Working with Art now on the interior. :D

Did you spot my golf through the Touareg?! You have a good eye. ;)

But I am guessing you mean this:

I can't claim the GTI or Porsche. GTI is a buddies car that is VR6 swapped. Porsche is also a friend's car. It is a VR6 Turbo if the picture wasn't a giveaway.

When I bought my V6 Touareg i was looking at wheel options. I am a huge BBS fan and when I found these wheels existed I was determined to find a set. I appreciate the kind words, I am very happy with it.

Brake job soon as I am tired of cleaning my front wheels. Hope this new compound does a little better on dust.

Looks good Luke! Here I thought B4 owners were the only special kind of crazy.

Let me know if the new pads work out well... cleaning the front wheels seems to be an endless job.
