Yes a blanking plate on the EGR pipe definitely helps the spool.
Glad to see you are seeing low EGT's as well.
Pressure isn't everything you need flow as well.The CP1H R85 pump on the CAPA seems quite happy at 1800 bar. I think the increase in flow is related to the square root of the difference in pressure.
So 1900/1800 = 1.056 so 5.56% more but take the square root of that and it's 2.36% not a lot really.
Bobby Singh replaced the CP4 pump on his A4 with a CP3 R95 and runs 2000 bar.
You could fit that on a CAPA engine as well if you knew what you were doing and had somebody who could map it. However having extra fuel won't help you as any kind of GTB hybrid is out of steam around 400 bhp.
Bobby sorted that with the S200 turbo. for 440 bhp.
