Yes a blanking plate on the EGR pipe definitely helps the spool.
Glad to see you are seeing low EGT's as well.
Pressure isn't everything you need flow as well. The CP1H R85 pump on the CAPA seems quite happy at 1800 bar. I think the increase in flow is related to the square root of the difference in pressure.
So 1900/1800 = 1.056 so 5.56% more but take the square root of that and it's 2.36% not a lot really.
Bobby Singh replaced the CP4 pump on his A4 with a CP3 R95 and runs 2000 bar.
You could fit that on a CAPA engine as well if you knew what you were doing and had somebody who could map it. However having extra fuel won't help you as any kind of GTB hybrid is out of steam around 400 bhp.
Bobby sorted that with the S200 turbo. for 440 bhp.

According to my WM Snow Performance stage 3 kit mye EGT never goes above 500 degree C and even drops to 450 using WM!
Do you measure somewhere in downpipe? 500 or even 450 degree is way to low for WOT EGT, so either you have placed the sensor wrong, or there is some defect.

Yeahhh, 840F-900F at wot is way cold even for post turbo Temps. My 335d hits 1200F post turbo at the end of a 1/4 mile run with 700cc of water meth spraying.

Before anyone says that's the wrong place, that's where the factory stuck it, no preturbo oem sensor for whatever reason. Car is tuned, optional parts fell off, and as I'm an Aquamist dealer, it got an hfs4 system. Did 365whp last weekend and just added another 500cc nozzle yesterday.

Post turbine in only for dpf regen reasons. For engine protection pre turbo is what counts. Of bmw doesnt have a sensor there they probably have a model that replaces it.

500c preturbo cant be real value, last week i took around 68hp/cylinder from my 4,2tdi and egt is max 930c with 3,6bar backpressure...im using 2k railpressure on cp3s3 L110 with now pressure dropping to 1700 bar after 3500rpm.
EDIT: Wanted to add to the topic that Jdengineering has made 450hp 900nm from 3.0 bitdi. Looking the graph it seems like the best combo for high hp 3.0tdi is turbosystem from bitdi. 800+nm available from 2200rpm.

Not sure what transmission they use, probably stock sq5. I dont have more info about them. i only see on their facebook wall. There are pictures of the dyno graph also.

My car is going to limpmode yes after ~3600rpm. I have ordered now 2xcp3hs3 L80 from ebay, should be plenty to replace L110, maybe can squeez a bit more rail also, they are originally from 1800bar system.

I do have pics, at the moment quite stock looking still. I will make topic here soon once pumps arrive. :)
Car is measured in local superflow dyno.

Im using stock 6hp28 transmission, same as c6 rs6. Afaik 3.0tdi unit has less clutch disks and other internal differences. We have here one 3.0tdi that was slipping gearbox in dyno with 820nm. S-tronic is stronger. If yours is strong with 900nm, then why not to test more. :)
Bobby and Desertstorm, how much you calculated for transmission loss in dyno?

I have 6hp 28 also - gives me some hope for 1k :)
3.0tdi also have 6hp 19

Not sure where limit is with stronic but on weekend done one with 720nm - drives real nice compared with 6hp 28

I have wheel figure some where

But it does 0 -60 in 4.1, 0-100 in 9.8 and 1/4 in 12.4 @111mph

Bobby - turns out i was wrong. I tought that i have 6hp28a, but its actually just the strongest version of 6hp26... Bentley and RS6 c6 use the same box, but all are limited to 650nm from factory. They usually dont slip when engaged, but upshift-downshift. I know that via software it can be made better quite a bit.

I think 1k wont hurt your tranny. :)

What does it do 0-120? (0-200 for some)

I tried that once at the Shakespeare Raceway, Not recommended the bottom part of that track is terrible if you keep your foot down, compared to the normal run. At Santa Pod just go in the right lane and they don't seem too bothered.

No the AMG turbine won't fit the VKLR as that is a ball bearing turbo and the VK is a journal bearing. I do believe there are uprated turbines available to fit the VKLR .

So what is a good turbo upgrade after all? Stage 2 tune and delete then call it the day?
