Hi Fellow TDI'ers

I just posted another thread where I detailed how my HPFP failed and VW denied the claim.

I have found a donor engine from 2015 Passat TDI for $1500 with only 50K. Which is only a fraction of the price of parts that I would have to buy for my 2013 TDI engine. Can I use the injectors and HPFP from 2015 engine. I looked at the injectors part number and they are different, my question is would they fit. I understand that 2013 Passat TDI is 140HP and 2015 Passat TDI is 150HP and the engine does look different.

2013 Passat TDI injector part number: 03L130277R
2015 Passat TDI injector part number: 04L130277AC

I don't have the part number for the HPFP.

Any feedback is appreciated as the car is rotting outside the dealership now. BTW I plan to do the swap myself if this will crossfit.

Are you aware they are different engines? It's much more than "different injectors"!

2012-2014 Passat had the CKRA engine while 2015's had the CVCA - there are differences in oil filter mounting, oil capacity, etc. Also transmission gearing (at least on the DSG) is different too as the 2015 is about 400 rpm lower at same highway speed as the 2012-2014 would be.

If you are dead set on the 2015 engine then you should swap the whole thing over - engine, transmission, ECU, etc. and even there you may run into compatibility issues. Probably much easier to dump your 2013 and get a 2015 but I suspect at this point you are fed up with VW and likely to move to another brand/vehicle altogether.

I feel for you and good luck with whatever you decide to do here.

Yup you are right, as soon I fix the my passat, I'm selling it to a dealer to recoup my losses. I will never buy another VW brand based Car. From now on Lexus, Toyota, Acura.

Boring cars yes but they don't keep you awake at nights and busy during the day dealing with VW.
