Bluetooth phone turns off radio

Once i paired my phone to the car via bluetooth; every time I get in the car it goes into the phone mode and turns off my music. It's an annoyance. I don't use my phone every time I get in the car, but I do use my music.

is there a way to override this so that my phone still remains paired but does not turn off my music every time.

I thought that it only turned the radio volume off when a call was coming in??

What system are you using?

It's an issue with the Bluetooth interface between the phone and the radio based on my experience with Bluetooth and stuff I do at work. The radio volume mutes when I get a call and my phone is paired. I am using a Blackberry, a 510 in a 2013 Passat.

I am playing music from a flash drive;

I actually have to press MDI to get my music back on every time I get in the car.

When I start the car, it connects to Bluetooth then the Bluetooth button is active. No matter how long I wait, no music plays, it just sits there in phone mode. No calls are coming in, I just start the car and bluetooth connects and sits there. Even though when I stopped the car I was playing music.

Setup/Radio/Autoplay bluetooth (uncheck)

My 2015 does the same thing. My 2013 did NOT.

Never ever have that happening in my 2015 Passat using an iPhone.
