FTS passat 4motion gearbox.

Hi folks,
this's my first thread posting on the TDI forum.
I have the 1995 Audi UrS6 inline5.My car orginally
has the 5speed 01E gearbox.I'm looking to get the
TDI gearbox for a taller 5th-6th for a cruising.
recently,i found a guys offers the 01E gearbox
from 2003 Passat B5.5 1.9tdu 4motion.i have tried
to search something more about this FTS but no luck
finally.so please anyone knows anything about the FTS
gearbox(gear ratios,final drive).Is the FTS and DQT
from 2.5 V6 TDI identically?i really need to know this since i believe
no one ever put the FTS gearbox on Audi C4 chassis.i found
a lot guys has done the DQT box and eveything is just bolt
right up besides,swapping out the output shaft to benzine
01E gearbox.if the FTS and DQT are identical so it ain't problem
putting her on my car.please chime in.

Most passats are 4.11 final that really is the biggest issue you'll have is Final drive. If it's 4.11 your ok. Most likely it won't be as long as the DQT since it's for a 1.9L not a torqey 2.5L V6.

FTS and DQT are not identical.
