I have a 97 passat AHU that idles pretty rough. I have an ecodiesel in the shop that puts this one to shame.

So I have no codes pertaining to this, but what I did notice is that block 13 in vag-com shows injector quantities for cyl. 1-4. There was no value for my #4 cyl. and the other three were not all the same. Car runs great with smooth, strong power. Its just shakey at idle, doesnt vary or anything.

Can I change this in basic settings?

Thanks!

Also, is there a way I can disable the EGR via vag-com permanently?

You can un-plug the line to the EGR. Use a golf tee or whatever to plug up the vacuum line.

You cannot modify the idle "quality", only view it.

I have plugged off the vaccum tube on other cars. I dont like cleaning intakes more than the next guy. But is there a way to avoid the CEL once you do this?
