Self-healing clutch or loss of power?

Several years ago right after I had my car chipped, I noticed the clutch slipping a time or two when I "got on it hard". I figured it was due to the increase in power. I haven't noticed the clutch slipping since and I can't say that there's been a noticiable loss in power. So I'm wondering what happened.

Or you may just have to learn to not bury the throttle in 5th gear. Sometimes there gets a bit of dust or something else on the clutch and it slips once and never slips again, but if it were me I would drive gentle until you can replace the clutch assembly

I never meant to imply that I'm always "on it". Most of the time I drive normal. Sometimes I get on it to blow it out. Never in 5th gear. Maybe I just had dust in there like you say.
