Hey guys I've been wanting to wire up the evry mod on my 2000 jetta but don't really feel comfortable splicing into the wires. I've heard people mention ways of doing this so you can pull the mod off and be undetected. If anyone has some imput or pics of how they did it that would be great. Thanks

2 options - go into the pins themselves - solder wires and put them on a quick connect.

Can link a YouTube video on quick connect later - benefit of a quick connect is remove for various reasons and if you have to clip and rewrap the wires.

Just buy the ebay plug and play box for $35 if you are concerned with having solid connections.

I did not splice or solder as I remember, IIRC I used straight pins to penetrate the wire insulation and went from there.
While you may not be able to see the penetration afterwards it is not the best way to do things.
The broken insulation will let water in and corrosion will happen!
If you use pins I would go in through the pins.
