It is a little car. Avoid rubbing it into things. Shouldn't be too hard. It should "fit" almost anywhere.
I bought Michelin Primacy tires for my BMW: they have a lip that protects the wheels from getting curbed. Surprisingly they're the same size as the 17s on the Golf, but they're run-flats. You probably don't want that. But the non run-flats might have the lip, too.

What about grounding straps. Cars with curb feelers also have to have the rubber coated grounding straps that ran from the rear bumper to the ground.Actually the first was for 2, the second was each!
