Cleaning only the manifold is not enough, need to clean the ports in the head too.

I had mine hot tanked at a local machine shop and it turned out great!

What year and model - unless you have a B4 Passat (96-97), your Passat likely doesn't need it.

Are you trying to address a performance concern?

Are you looking for a complete (re and re and clean) job?
