Timing belt quote

I just received a quote to replace the timing belt on my 2005 Passat from a reputable VW shop. They quoted me $650 which includes the tensioner, rollers, and a new water pump. Does this sound like a good price?

Yep... sounds pretty reasonable.

If you are already unchained, that is a good price. If you have not upgraded the balance shaft module, you need to have that done, it will add a couple thousand $$ to that price and you need to find a competent shop that is on the list of BS upgrade shops started by Oilhammer. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=293773
