Auxiliary heater finally works!

15 Golf TDI, was 06 Jetta TDI, 15 q7 tdi, was 11 Q7 TDI
After 4 yrs of ownership, I finally got it fixed with a soldering iron, solder Nad some plumbing flux.

Gave my son a ride to school today and he infrared measures the temperature of the center vent.

Outside temp in C according to dash display. Vent temp measured in F.

5 mile rural drive to his school.

That is a common failure. Many posts on this forum about it. The resistors need to be re-soldered.

Yeah very common. I just put the iron to it for 10 seconds. Did not need any solder or flux. Now that I have a Webasto, I no longer need the aux heater.
