Looking to buy a used Touareg. Which year?

I have been a Jetta TDI owner/driver since 2003. Always loved the Touareg. Ready to move up. Are there any model years that I should avoid? Or Which is your favorite year?

Do take some time to sit down and trawl clubtouareg for other threads asking the same thing..

Buy as late a car as you can afford with the lowest miles, and keep a damned good warranty going.

Whatever you do, NEVER EVER buy a Touareg with any known problems.

Do they have adblue heater issues like the Passat?
