Marlin went out of his way to help me with a friends Gas powered beetle ecu, getting the Immobilizer deleted. Great guy and easy to deal with!

Spot-on Diagnosis!

Thanks for the correct diagnosis for my car trouble! You had it right on; EGR trouble. The garage I had taken it to said it was a bad cam; they were either incompetent or scamming me. Thanks Marin!

Marin - thank you, thank you!
I have been searching since 2006 for someone who I can trust and will do what they say. I have been lied to time and time again by other mechanics and delay after delay. I was depressed and discouraged and simply wanted to push the car over a cliff and be done with VW. I found Marin and gave him a chance.
He fixed the car, solved the codes that other mechanics could not, found out that the transmission place had squeezed a wire and damaged it and it was also setting off codes that could not be resolved until Marin.
If you want someone who really KNOWS about VW then give Marin a chance. He will do an honest job and not screw you over like many other mechanics have done to me.
Thank you Marin for being a man of your word and for being an honest mechanic in a world full of other lying mechanics. I will only use you and GLADLY recommend you to my friends and tell them that if they need an honest and knowledgeable mechanic - it is YOU.
Thank you for your help! Alan Weis

2004 Passat Wagon (chainless + 5 MT + GDE tune)
Hello folks:

This feedback is long overdue Marin. He has helped me in several occasions over the phone with my Golf. Now that I got a 'new' 2004 Passat wagon TDI I was able to make the drive and meet him in person to get a second key (it is scary for me to have only one key). Marin was very patient with me before making the appointment to explain to me how peculiar are VW remote keys for cars in the same year range and save me $. Meeting him in person just reinforced my good thoughts about his work ethics and skills. I had a great time talking with him and he also fixed right away the radio not working. He has great software skills and he can program your keys to do some fancy and very useful stuff!

I need to clone Marin and bring him to the Houston area :)

хвала !!!

Marin did an excellent job on my new MK4 cluster adaptation - I am in NY , so I just shipped him my original cluster and new one with sport faces ,got it back already , everything works perfectly , he made my new cluster with MFA and sport faces plug and play - for the fraction of a dealer's cost ! My GLI looks so much better now - I wish I knew about this professional earlier! Never thought it would be that easy and simple,
highly recommend his services to everyone.
Thanks again Marin!

Thumbs up to some great work

Hey guys, just wanted to give Marin a thumbs up on his work. I'm doing a conversion on a 2007 Audi A4 from a 2.0T FSI to a 2.0TDI and wanted to swap out my cluster with a TDI one. IMMO on these cars is a real pain and I thought for sure I was stuck going to the stealer. After giving him my original file and the replacement cluster file he was able to quickly create the file I needed with all the key info in it (Keys, VIN, IMMO, Kms....) With full instructions from him it worked like a charm and exactly how he said it would go.

He also helpped me out with getting original files for my ECU after I searched for some time he was able to get them to me in only a few days!

Thanks again Marin. Keep up the great work.

Bailed me out of a jam

Super helpful trusted TDI Tech, I had immobilizer problems over labor day weekend that would have left me in a BIG bind for the upcoming week if it weren’t for Marin. After scouring the forum for a way to get the immobilizer PIN I resigned to the fact that it wasn’t going to happen with VAG-COM software alone. I found Marin’s advertisement that he could reprogram or bypass the immobilizer system and emailed him at 10:00pm Sunday evening, he came out to my house the next day (Labor Day) and had me back up and running in 20 minutes! Can’t say enough thanks!

I have just purchased a 2009 Jetta TDI with 39,900 miles on it. The first two oil changes are on the dealership but I was wondering about the 40,000 mile service you spoke of at the beginning of the thread. It does have DSG. And I do not have any of the maintanince records for vehicle. I am taking it to the dealership on Tuesday the 18th of September for the first of the oil changes.

I doubt that someone did 40k and trade in car right after that.

He does great work for us

He has done great work for us (R Diesel Motors) on at least 5 occasions in Fort Worth. Recently brought back to life a broken cluster on a 98 Jetta.

Hello everyone.I live in Plano,TX. I have been Technician all my life. I come form Europe. I finish school in Europe in 1993. Start working when I was 16 .
I live in USA 11 years.I have been working on VW and Audi all my life(specially on TD-s & TDI-s). Also on BMW, Mercedes. I have Vag-Com and also have tool to Program keys up to 2007(MK4 and MK5) and Passat B5(2004-2005) ,able to Delete Immobilizer in ECU,and I have tool to replace Instrument Cluster and ECU (Used or new) up to 2007(this means if you have used cluster or ECU I can make it to work on your car).
I do provide complete work on those cars ( from oil change to check engine diagnostics,t-belt ,brakes , suspension, transmission service ,injectors , injection pump, etc.)

I am able to do ECU TUNING-TDTUNING Authorized Dealer.

On Golf, Jetta MK4 & MK5 or Passat B5.5 & B6 I can enable function "open -close windows via remote control"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4Wbrx1CdH8).
Also can turn off seat belt chime(you don't have ding, ding till you put your belt in buckle) and DRL can be turn off, also one touch on remote and opens all 4 doors(factory comes with dr.door open first than other doors).

Also I am able to enable needles light up with key on and light switch off (More info in post No.10)

On Full FIS and Half MFA clusters (Golf, Jetta MK4 & MK5 or Passat B5.5 ),
I can replace Cluster LCD Display when the pixels are bad or when they get shade and you can not see anything.

I use ONLY VDO Display and they are 100% same as original.

I have reasonable prices for my work and I do provide parts and warranty for my job.
So if anyone need something send me PM or e-mail me at
marinmm2001@yahoo.com.
I know it is very hard to trust to someone , and is hard to find good trusted mechanic ,but try me on little things and see my work.

Good Person & Mechanic

I got (Jetta 97) / Marin's information because User "Smileybug" from newbeetle.org pointed me to the Trusted TDI Mechanics - By State - TDIClub Forums list. I contacted him and advised him that I had a bad situation with a local mechanic who messed up a timing belt / head job which in turn I now had major damage issues with the engine due to him causing an intake valve to drop into the piston and the mechanic claimed the damaged piston was ok and that the head may be rebuildable and did not want to take responsibility he expected me to dish out more money. Marin said he would go with me as a Volkswagen specialist and help with diagnoses and try to get the mechanic to own up. He found that the cam chain tensioner was possibly damaged by mechanic, the piston which the valve dropped in to was no good, the cylinder had been damaged by the broken parts and the head was very badly damaged and may repairable, but would not be cheap to repair. Another engine may be the more economical approach? As of now the mechanic has offered if I get another engine to install new timing belt on it and remove old engine and install the replacement engine and eat all labor cost, but that would only be fair to me if I can get one at a decent price so we will see if not Marin said he would back me up in small claims if need be. Marin has been of very great help with assistance and knowledgeable information. Thanks Marin.

Marin - Thanks!

I was getting ready to leave on a trip a few months ago and my 2000 Passat car started acting up. Talked with Marin and he gave me a great suggestion. I did it and it fixed the car. I have had no problems and everything running well.

It has been a few months since he fixed my daughter's red Jetta 1998 TDI - it is wonderful and running soooo good. He fixed it when several other mechanics could not and also made more problems but Marin fixed it all wonderfully.

He fixed my 1997 black Jetta and it is running well and about 375,000 miles.

If anyone needs a great and honest mechanic - try Marin. He is great to work with and will give you honest feedback and great service.

A shout out to Marin. Thanks for the injector pump re-seal. I brought my 2000 Jetta to Marin to help me find a water leak problem and in the process he pointed out that my injector pump was leaking. He found my water leak that I could not see and resealed the injector pump for me too. The car is running great and the pump is dry as a bone. Cya shortly for the clutch repair.

LOVE this site!!!!!

Did not get a chance to get my 09 TDI to my local Guru (Hevster1). While driving cross country, I wanted to get my oil changed. So sent Marin a PM and got into Dallas this morning. Took the car right in, changed the oil and fuel filters. Took complete fuel filter housing out and cleaned it, explained it to me in lounge area (standing at door like expectant dad.....lolol) why he took it out and did what he did.And even set my key up for the windows. Checked other things like tire pressure, serpentine, etc. Also did cabin filter. FAST, THOROUGH and PROFESSIONAL.

BOTH gurus are top notch. This site is the best for great service at great prices. Not many people you can trust, but guys like a Guru who love cars and make sure they run right makes trusting mechanics a little more secure when dishing out $$$ on out TDI's.

Was a pleasure to meet you and do business with you, Marin. The recommendations previous were on the money. My trip cross country will be much more confident with no problems.
