P0299 turbocharger underboost??

Some critters got under my hood and chewed up some wires on my 2004 Jetta TDI BEW engine. One of the chewed wires is the G40 Camshaft position sensor. Will that cause a P0299 turbocharger underboost message??

Thanks JB05 that was helpful. Reminded me about the vacuum system and realized that when I pulled the engine bottom cover a small piece of tube with one of those rubber protective bumpers came out. I started looking around and found a line from the switch pack was chewed up. I just have to figure out where it goes. The line to the turbo looked good but a breach anywhere can screw everything up.
