Nice Job VW!

Just leased a new 2015 Passat TSI (2.0L gasser) yesterday for my beautiful young bride. This replaces her 11-year-old Saturn Vue.

Though I went in for the extraordinary lease deal I made sure I test drove the new Passat TDI. We drove to the dealer in my Jetta and I compared the engine noise and feel to the '15 TDI. They've done a very nice job with the new TDI. Drove superb. Yes, the car is 15 years newer, and more luxurious, but I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

..would it be a fair statement that the TSI (vice the TDI) will reside within your garage as it is for your beautiful young bride?

(I had to ask after reading your very positive TDI observations.)

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the TSI in the Passat is a 1.8L.

Yes, the car will get a spot in the garage. After all it is ten years newer than our Avalanche and 15 years newer than the Jetta.

I was wondering aobut the 1.8 vs. 2.0 l - the articles show different numbers.

BTW, I haven't driven it yet. I'm wondering if I ever will. The kids like it.
