That's impressive :D
Not really.
That hose looks like it came with the ebay intercooler, those are crap. Had seen several tear apart, also at modest boost levels of 1,5 bar (22 psi). If it's located close to the turbocharger the change of failure is much bigger.

With 4-layer pieces like Samco or silicone hoses you should be fine.

got an answer from the ATE Hotline...
I don't think he really understood my question... he is saying that the pattern of holes
do not affect the temperature of the disc... and this is true...
So I replied with another question about the direction of the vanes inside the disc...

the direction probably doesn't matter anyway... the centrifugal forces are probably
bigger than the sucking force of the vanes...

decided to replace all the hoses with SiliconHoses... these are 4-ply...
the current hoses are 3-ply...
also ordered some stronger clamps...

should have done this in the first place !!

got myself a set of Sportec Mono 10 18x8.5 ET35 wheels :p

did some photoshopping today...
wheels don't totally line up.. but hey, I'm not a trained photoshopper ;)

lowered with sportec in titanium... (probably a bit bigger than 18" in this pic)

Hi JW,

Very nice rims :)

Worth bearing in mind the weight though, I believe these are pretty heavy at 13kg per rim in that size compared to 8.5kg for something like OZ Ultraleggera's? Thats an extra 18kg in rotating and unsprung weight.

Not that it matters with all that torque :)

luckily I think the roads in Holland are quite above average, atleast in comparison with belgium or england :p

yes belgium and england are covered in pot holes! thats why JW can go for some superlight wheels, as he doesn;t have to worry about that!
I should have the heavy duty ones, my OZ's seem very strong for the weight, i've been quite impressed.

yes, I know that these weigh a ton !
but hey... these wheels are quite popular so if I don't like how they perform...
I can always sell them ;)
besides.. the avant is never going to be a tracktool ;)

Johan says the exhaust sound really nice....
above 3000rpm it starts to sound like a 5 cilinder :p

cleaning injectors is fun also.... +10bhp +10Nm... makes 250bhp 500Nm...

according to Johan the B7 is running 2200mbar boost...
it is absolutely smoke free...

the KW StreetComfort set was fitted last friday, as was the dual exhaust...
I am really happy with the results...

the exhaust is a bit too loud... on WOT it sounds like an S2 :p
a small middle muffler needs to be added...

On A4 it works better to have a center muffler and none at the back.
Without central muffler the sound passes more to the inside and there are more "vibrations" due to it.

And also because rear mufflers are really heavy :D

Locking nice the project ;)

today VanVughtTuning fitted a 63mm Audi middle muffler to the exhaust line...
it has taken off the sharp edge of the sound, but the big 16V sound is still present ;)
