Is this turbo big enough or too big ?

Hey,

Got a turbo from a friend , he knows i'm turbo crazy,
but this one is a very special one ... it comes from caterpillar

Does someone here have more info about it ?
-is it usefull on a 4cylinder diesel ?
-is it a wastegate turbo? (i believe it is ...)
-has someone used it before ?
-what is the regular price of a turbo this size ?
-on which engines is it used ?

I guess it is ... if you have more than 1l displacement per cylinder

Yes and yes. You may want to run a bigger air filter with that.

mabye a quick spool valve can pick up the boost just before you hit the rev limiter.


or you could flash that thing on some skyline/supra/jdm forum just for the fun of it.

Would that thing actually fit in the engine bay?

use passanger side or trunk, plenty of space there, placeing turbo in the engine bay is so last year
