SOLD 2004 Golf TDI Wagon 5 spd sunroof. (BEW), 2nd owner, Columbus, OH 43085
yes, yes, in the US they call them Jetta wagons ;-)
I will get straight to the point - here is what it needs that I know of :
- front sway bar & bushings
- right rear shock is wet (Bilstein HD - lifetime warranty)
these items and my recurring shoulder impingement issues are forcing sale.
Currently scheduled to have all these items taken care of end of June / July at which point price will be adjusted.
244k miles - two owners, every document, every receipt from day one.
you will receive a 1" thick folder with the car.
yes, the windowsticker and everything.
zip code 43085 - airport code CMH.
supposedly my forever car - it has all the usual mods VNT17 turbo, EGR delete, VR6 clutch, Bilstein HD suspension, etc etc
all modifications done at the local TDIclub recommended TDI guru -Jon Hamilton.
just had to get new brakes and pads all the way around always maintained with an open check book.
it is not pretty but it moves and will do >50mpg all day long if you drive properly.
it is main MTB hauler so it has a class 1 hitch for my Thule bike carrier - if you like that for an additional $300 i would upgrade to a oneup.
here is what has been done since my ownership :
6-11-18 $669.30 R&R AC core support, condenser, receiver / dryer (all good used parts), recharge AC refrigerant, check for leaks etc.
2-26-18 $623.61 R&R pads and rotors
7-28-17 $463.33 R&R right front wheel bearing & hub
3-27-17 $860.43 R&R front coil springs, strut mounts with bearings, service
1-22-16 $941.60 gear oil service, R&R rear pads and rotors, R&R rear right caliper, 4 caliper brake bleed, service
i also had Michelin Defender all season tires put on all the way around - looking for the discount tire receipt for that.
but it includes lifetime balancing and rotating at any discount tire.
before i bought it some major ticket items :
1-31-15 $3171.48 new factory transmission, R&R front passenger outer CV boot, R&R driver side wheel bearing (203633 miles)
2-16-14 $1954.89 new VNT-17 turbocharger, removal of EGR cooler, R&R front brake pads, rotors, hardware, service (187690 miles)
July 2013 at 178,565 miles timing belt service
