Contacted them again and the told me they are behind and I should have my offer sheet November 28th. To make a long story short I have contacted them several times since then and was told they were escalating my claim to a claim specialist and he would contact me last week. Still no contact even though they are telling me I am eligible and am just waiting for my offer sheet. The claims portal shows reviewing documents as of today still. So yes I would say almost three months since I uploaded all my documents is way past the 10 business day in the court time frame. We can not drive our car, each winter we have had a major intercooler icing problem that has locked up the motor, not taking that chance.
You probably need to call the law firm that others here have been communicating with on delays like this.

A few people have fallen through the cracks on one issue (ex. Getting a check) or another. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'd just give them a call. Good luck.

My co-worker went in a couple of days ago and turned in his with no problem, everything went very smooth for him. I am waiting to see if TDIs return to the US, and might get an Arteon when the 2018s come out if no more TDIs.

Good on those of you who have completed the process. We must be in the hairball line. Although we have an account and password and claim number and informal offer sheet and a an acknowledgement that our full paper claim was scanned in the system, the website has locked us out. Five calls to the CLAIM # have yielded nothing but high blood pressure. The (script reading) phone reps won't let you talk to a "supervisor" you can't talk to or email IT directly to fix the password issue. So we sit here in ignorance (not the state of Ignorance), drive the thing and endure being totally fubarred. Got prozac?

Supposedly, the portal has seen nearly 750,000 claims (don't know how that happens with 400k-500k cars unless duplicates claims, registering multiple times, registering paper and electronically...) but they have presumably extended offers to 200,000 people. More than 104,000 have accepted those offers. The aggregate value of the offers is $2 billion. As of mid-December, thousands of buybacks and lease terminations have been completed and more than 84,000 appointments have been scheduled.

Depending on the figures you go by, it would seem that between 1/2-3/4 of us submitters are still waiting on offers or are further back in the process still.

today was my day- although I know the process is not over. got offer letter, notarized and uploaded, and it was approved 7 hours later. My appointment is scheduled for early March.

I agree with others. If you think your claim is stuck (mine was sitting from 11/15 until today), email or call one of the attorneys involved in the steering committee with your claim number and request assistance, even if you don't hear back, they got it. Also, consider submitting a second or duplicate claim on the online portal- folks have said that is a way somehow of giving your claim a jump start.

They approved your release paperwork the same day? I received my formal offer letter this morning and immediately signed it and submitted it. Looking to get this hunk of crap out of my garage!!!

On January 11, I took my car in for the scheduled buyback. All went smoothly; took about 5 minutes. The next day at 8:26 PM my E-mail arrived from Chase and I completed their form for the EFT. I should be seeing that in my account next week.

All in all, the whole process went very smoothly for me. Once I submitted the notarized documents, my approval and ability to schedule a buyback appointment came less than a week later. However, I owned the car outright and did not have a loan outstanding.

So goodbye to my 2014 Jetta TDI Wagon! With the buyback amount and the extra cash, I received just a few hundred less than I paid for the car 19 months and 21,000 miles ago. I am replacing with a 2017 Golf All Trak.

They reviewed and approved my signed and notarized acceptance of the offer in 20 minutes and I have an appointment scheduled to turn it in on 2/17. 5 weeks from today.

I've been processing two cars for family members. No problem with either - smooth and straightforward and I have appointments for next month.

You need to log in and be sure the system shows that all documentation is correct and accepted. You probably missed a message saying that something didn't meet the requirement.

I was amazed. I received my Chase information as noted above at 8:26 the day after the buyback at the dealer. I found the payment in my non-Chase account the NEXT DAY just 16 hours later. So I am totally through the process and had no issues at all.
