2013 jetta sportwaggen Clogged dump tubes

Anyone have experience with cleaning their dump tubes and their location on a 2013 jetta sportwagen? Took mine to dick hannah was told i have to temove my wiper arms and that plastic piece to get to the tubes is that accurate? an they showed me its retaining water in my sunroof track at the front which in turn is causing a leak internally. On both sides passenger is worse it seems though

Some people have used small diameter string trimmer line to snake down from the sunroof to the bottom to clean them out. this must be done carefully though as if too much force is used you can knock the tube off the fitting causing a worse issue. There are some threads here about doing this. If you search you should find them. You are talking about the sunroof drains correct? Never heard the term "dump tubes" used before.
