A/C Compressor and Alternator wiring mix-up? *pic added*
Installing my skid plate the other day, I noticed that the A/C compresser was not connected to the harness. There was a purple plug dangling behind the alternator but it is not long enough to reach the socket on the compressor. The harness going into the alternator looks long enough to reach.
I know from the service records that the alternator was replaced last winter and the A/C compressor the year before. I'm hoping that the tech that changed the alternator screwed up the wiring and that is why the A/C is not working.
So the question is, are these just simple power/signal wires that will work either way? The car charges no problem.
