Hi all,
I have two TDI Sportwagens and a TDI sedan. I put 17" wheels from a 2011 Audi A5 on the sedan with 235/45-17 tires and they dramatically improved handling with absolutely no rubbing. I'm interested in upgrading the wheels/tires on my wagons next and would like to use similar 17" wheels. Does anybody have any experience with larger tires (good or bad)?

That's likely got more to do with you adding an inch per corner of rubber.

You'll also reduce the fuel mileage while doing so, if that's a concern to you.

What kind of driving do you typically do? There are a number of tiers of tires that are worth considering regardless of budget to achieve improved handling characteristics.
