The TDI started sputtering on start up and then threw a CEL code.

Went to Autozone to scan for codes and I have a P0672 CEL code. I replaced all 4 glow plugs with new beru plugs and I also installed a brand new glow plug wiring harness but the CEL is still there.

Also, when the car starts it still sputters. What else should I check/replace?

could it be a bad glow plug relay? Is it possible to test for a fail relay before spending the $150 on a new one?

This has been working for me. Get some GB Ox-Guard, available just about anywhere you can get building electrical supplies, and a small screwdriver with a 3-5 mm blade.

Take apart the connector for the glow plug bridge, and apply the OG to each pin, using the small screwdriver as a spatula. Reassemble the connection, and remove the glow plug bridge. Apply some more to the pin on each glow plug, and carefully reassemble the bridge to the plugs. If you still get a code, you may have to do the same thing to the glow controller.

I also applied some to the coolant glow plugs to keep those connections cool.

Could be the relay.

I would check the fuse...Not sure where it is at on an A4, though.

I would also disconnect the CTS, and try starting. If it start easier on a cold morning, then I would look at changing the CTS.
