Today I went to VW of Woodlands,Tx, I can't tell you the professionalism this Dealership has, it made me even prouder to be in the Vw family, ever in the area be sure to check this dealership out, we got the turbo on drove it on the trailer, need to bleed the brakes, then go for a ride.

Put 3 miles on it today before I blew an intercooler pipe off I need to do more trimming, drove wonderful, the turbo spooled very quickly, throttle response was impressive, just need to work out the kinks

Well today I put 20 miles on it, I had to take it easy, 2 of the tbolt clamps are the wrong size and under throttle it will blow the pipe off, I ordered to more and they'll be here Monday, but all I can say right now is its freaking very fast, I'm loving it

I see the "Antique Auto" plates. Are you allowed to have these plates with a swapped newer engine or are you following the rules in true Volkswagen fashion?

In British Columbia it has to be 100% stock or modifications appropriate for the period. Example would be a 1990 Jetta, you could swap a 2.0L 16V motor in there, but not a 2004 1.8T and still retain the plates / insurance discount.

I'm running "classic" plates on my truck and ran the plates on a Rabbit, that I since sold.

DMV only cared about stock appearance. They wanted pics of the exterior, but never asked for pics of the bay.

In NJ, there are limitations on usage...

In British Columbia they ask for photos of everything . . . I really think it would make sense to allow an engine swap to make classic cars more environmentally friendly . What happens 50 years when fossil fuels will be illegal? Answer nothing - you won't be allowed to drive yourself either, so what's the point. :p

I'm having an issue with my hydraulic clutch, no leaks anywhere, brakes are solid, no leaks there, I took the slave out and its dry, I've bled the clutch, no bubbles but in driving or letting it sit it goes away, if I pump the clutch it will come back, the master for the clutch is new maybe 100 miles on it, no leaks its weird I guess ill replace the clutch master anyone have this happen

Well I ordered a stainless steel clutch line for my clutch, I think maybe the rubber in the mk4 line may be old and its expanding to where I'm loosing my clutch, I'll start there before I replace my clutch master cyl
