Removal of power window/door lock module from arm rest

MY driver side power door lock switch has finally quit. Had been intermittent like switch was worn out. Is there a description somewhere in the forums on how to remove from arm rest without destroying the coverplate. Can't find anything.

IIRC it will lift straight up out of the armrest.
^bad advice, you need to remove the trim piece with the handle

hskrdu, thanks for the pics. that is just what i needed to see otherwise I probably would have just pried it up and broken the small plastic parts holding it in place. She (2002) has just gone over 320K and I can't see ever parting with her.

Happy to help. I don't love the vortex, but the Mk IV How-To has hundreds of good DIY threads (as does Chitty's MyTurboDiesel).
