No key at wrecker's... how to move Tiptronic shifter to neutral?

I'm going to the wreckers to check out some Golfs and Jettas that have a similar Tiptronic shifter that I have in my 2005 Golf TDI.

To pull the console off at the wreckers it seems I'll have to move the shifter to the neutral area. How can I do this when there's no key in the ignition.

I need the shifter guide out of one of the wreckers cars as mine got scrunched up.

Pull the shift boot trim (just pull up on it, it unclips), there is a yellow deal with a release at the front of the shift mechanism.

Just thought of this, what I said applies to Mk5, I would assume Mk4 is similar, but I'm not sure. You said 2005, so for some reason I assumed Mk5, but it could be Mk4 you're asking about.Hopefully someone who knows for sure can chime in.

It's similar on the Mk4's. There's a release under the shift boot.
