Cruise control

Hi there. Im pretty experienced in wiring things like stereos and i had a question. I brought my car into the shop and they stated that the cruise control was not wired to the clutch as to why its not working. They suggested a buy a "clutch pedal sensor"? and wire it into some spot on the ecu. and also my reverse lights dont work. They said that the reverse light sensor on the transmission was gone and not plugged in. What parts would i need to accomplish these and is their a guid to either of them?

Was this a 5spd conversion?

There is a 5speed swap thread, I believe that goes over the wiring, look into that.

Yes it was a 2002 automatic jetta tdi swapped to the 5 speed manual.
