Tensioner pulley serpentine belt

2013 passat tdi 2.0 How to change the assembly. Says 1 bolt where us it. My old assembly fell apart.

Bolt comes in from the rear, PITA to get at.

aww common you gotta give more details than that, can it be done from ramps or is it from the top? anything else that needs to be removed to get at it?

This will put him in the right direction, not the same car but close enough to get the idea.

Did the tensioner itself fail or just the pulley and bearing?
If just the pulley and bearing, it can be replaced with a Gates 38018 pulley.

Doing this job this weekend, anyone able to tell me how they accessed the bolt without 3 hours of removing stuff to get at it??

Bought the Gates 38018 pulley..will update when received, would be awesome if that works! ..also bought the complete tensioner assembly from autozone..may try just that pulley also..to save time from removing the whole darn thing..just some options...we'll see??
