Part numbers for the Golf and Jetta are different, you cannot swap between models.

I realize the different part numbers but I have seen this exact-type hitch on a mk4 golf.

Hidden hitch does make a hitch for the Golf, but it's design is different..

I was actually sent a Golf hitch from Hidden hitch by mistake. There is no way you'd ever get it mounted up to a Jetta.

The Jetta model fits my car perfectly, install was maybe 45mins.

if you are talking about the class 2 then yes, they are different. the class 1's seem to be pretty if not the same. I have had and installed both.

Nope, it was the class one hitch.

Look at the portion that attaches to the rear tow hook. Different on each model.. Not by much, but enough to make it a pita to install on the wrong car.
