hello all,
I recall hearing or reading something about the latest cam belt/tensioner parts being suitable for 80K mi. service interval. (The little placard near the radiator on my '00 golf says 60K)
Would parts ordered for '00 model year automatically be the newer, longer life versions?
Thankx

No. Make sure you get the parts # listed for 2002 model or for engine # greater than 500,000.

Thanks for the reply. You would think that they would have superseded the older belts and tensioners.

Howdy Herm,
Thanx for the offer! I'm in the process of tooling up for the job on my Golf. Once I've got the process down I'd like to offer help for other members in my area as well.
