SOLD!
Hello -
My beloved Jetta was hit in the left rear while parked on the street. Too much damage to fix, not enough damage to give up entirely. Bodyshop gave a rough estimate of 5K to fix right. I would rather sell the car whole at this point - no time to part out. Car runs and drives normally, however the 4 doors have interference and left rear corner is crushed. See link to my Craigslist ad for pics. Looking for 2K.

2005 MKIV Jetta TDI Manual Sedan for PARTS or REPAIR. The car was a clean, well maintained, great running car until it was hit in the left rear. It has been my reliable daily driver for the past 4 years. 127,000 miles, 5-speed, Black cloth interior, Spice (Tornado?) Red. The car currently runs and drives normally, and all taillights are intact and operational. Unibody damage due to collision is prohibitively expensive to fix.
The GOOD:
New Front struts and springs at 122K
New Rear calipers at 122K
New Turbo at 95K
New Timing belt - 95K
New Water Pump - 95K
Cold AC
Oil changes every 5K miles with 505.01
Clean interior
Engine runs perfectly - no CEL
The UGLY:
Hit in left rear 12/18
Damage to bumper, left rear crush zone, trunk lid, etc.
Unibody tweaked - will require frame machine
Rest of the body/paint is good except usual rust over passenger front fender
At this point I do not want to part the car out.
