I had the AC system evacuated. They did not pull a perfect vacuum, just enough to get all the refrigerant out. Should I pull a complete vacuum on the system before I recharge it? (The system was never opened) When I go to re-charge the system, do I need to add any oil to the system? If so, how much, and what type of oil , pag or ester? Thanks

From my experience (yours may vary), you do not need to pull "Perfect" vacuum. If the shop did any kind of vacuum, it will be enough. If all they did was bleed it, then yeah do a vacuum.

You'll need 2 cans of 134a and a small one of PAG oil. I don't know which number PAG, i can find out though. All the oil you need is about 6 oz. in the whole system, and most people find that there is still oil left in the compressor even after the system is vacuumed.

Let me find an exact PAG number for you if i can, or else if someone else will chime in...
